A decade away from the recording studio is an eternity in pop music, yet Jamiroquai have never conformed to standard timelines. The long silence that settled in after Automaton in 2017 is finally scheduled to lift. Jay Kay and his bandmates are returning to European stages in the summer of 2027, setting up a string of major indoor arena appearances that will accompany the arrival of their ninth studio album. The group considers this upcoming release to be the opening of a fresh chapter, concluding ten years without an original full length record.
Rather than taking on an exhausting multi-city trek across the continent, Jamiroquai have chosen a more settled route. The tour plan concentrates entirely on three major cities, arranging stands of two and three nights at each stop. Live action gets underway in Amsterdam, where the group will settle into the Ziggo Dome for consecutive shows on July 5 and July 6. From the Netherlands, the staging moves into France for back to back performances at the Accor Arena in Paris on July 9 and July 10, before heading across the English Channel for an extended stand in London.
London will receive three separate evenings at The O2, booked for July 15, July 16, and July 19. These performances carry extra weight because they tie into the venue's twentieth anniversary celebrations. The milestone schedule next year also features appearances by Kings of Leon, Jorja Smith, and David Guetta. Camping out at a single arena across three separate dates allows a touring production to stay rooted in place, giving an acid jazz ensemble with three decades of stagecraft behind it the chance to settle in and explore the material instead of packing up road cases every night.
Fans wanting to secure their spots in the crowd will have to pay close attention to the calendar. A presale access window opens at 9am local time on Tuesday, November 10, for fans who sign up in advance. Remaining tickets will go on general public sale three days later, at 9am local time on Friday, November 13.
Very little about the ninth studio record has slipped out into the open so far. There is no announced album title, no confirmed tracklist, and no specific release date on the books. Even so, the 2027 live calendar is expressly designed to give audiences their first taste of the unreleased tracks. The band intends to place these unfamiliar grooves right beside their established catalog, using Jay Kay's front and centre presence to anchor the room. Taking brand new funk material directly to giant indoor crowds before a record even hits shelves provides an immediate test of how those arrangements translate in a room full of people.
This new European run follows a gradual build in live appearances over recent years. Jamiroquai spent late 2025 touring arenas across the UK and mainland Europe, later traveling further afield for shows in South America, Mexico City, and a series of summer concerts in Japan. Jay Kay also took a turn under the spotlight at Wembley Stadium last year, stepping out during Dua Lipa's set to sing Virtual Insanity, the breakout 1996 hit that helped define his public profile.
Bringing new songs directly into high capacity arenas shows a group determined to move forward rather than rest on their past. Instead of treating these summer dates as a comfortable trip through the archives, Jamiroquai are using this 2027 tour to usher in their next recorded collection, bringing thirty years of live cohesion to bear on whatever they have created next.
