Amelia Dimoldenberg is preparing to shut down Chicken Shop Date, but she still has a few major names to cross off her list before the fryers go cold. Noel Gallagher has signed on for an appearance during the ongoing final season of the comedy interview show, sitting down across the table just as Oasis prepares for another massive run of stadium dates.
Dimoldenberg, who writes, hosts, and produces the series, announced the booking herself on social media. She shared a picture of the two sitting opposite one another, nodding to the band with the caption, Definitely, maybe Noel Gallagher on Chicken Shop Date. Audiences will not have to wait very long to watch the conversation, as the episode is scheduled to debut on Friday, October 23, across both Netflix and YouTube.
The appearance is Gallagher's first time on the programme, which is now nearing the end of an improbable journey. Dimoldenberg first came up with the idea when she was still a teenager, later launching it as a filmed YouTube series in 2014. Over the decade that followed, the format transformed from a modest internet oddity into an essential stop for prominent figures across music, film, and television. Her guest list eventually grew to include Paul McCartney, Cher, and Billie Eilish, alongside Dave, Central Cee, Little Simz, Jack Harlow, Louis Theroux, and Andrew Garfield.
Stepping away from the series was a deliberate choice for Dimoldenberg. Discussing the decision to bring down the curtain, she reflected on spending her twenties interviewing people she had grown up dreaming about meeting. She noted that while she had once assumed the show could continue indefinitely, the time had finally arrived to finish this chapter and explore new creative work. Looking back on the whole project as her own personal romcom, she expressed sincere gratitude to the audience that followed along throughout the years.
Gallagher joins the show amid immense momentum for his main band. Oasis officially announced their Live 27 tour after months of public speculation, and the response was overwhelming. Organizers ended up expanding the routing due to phenomenal demand, leading to a complete sellout across all 42 shows on the schedule.
That itinerary includes dates across mainland Europe and the United States, along with several extensive multi-night stands closer to home. The band will play five nights at Glasgow Celtic Park, six nights at Knebworth, two nights at Slane Castle, and an eleven-show run at Manchester Etihad Stadium. Gallagher has already expressed high expectations, claiming that these dates will be so much better than the 2025 reunion concerts because the band will be way more relaxed during their second go-around. Richard Ashcroft, who supported the group during their Live 25 shows across the UK, has been confirmed as the opening act for all of the upcoming 2027 concerts.
Pairing Gallagher with Dimoldenberg creates an appealing clash of comedic temperaments. Dimoldenberg built her reputation on long pauses, dry stares, and awkward quiet, while Gallagher has spent decades offering blunt, off the cuff commentary. As Chicken Shop Date nears its final orders, this visit provides a rare look at how a famously outspoken rock star handles Dimoldenberg and her deadpan interrogation.
