Slayyyter has pulled the plug on the rest of her European and British tour dates following serious vocal trouble. The American pop singer shared the news on her Instagram Stories on Friday, October 23, explaining that multiple doctor consultations revealed tears in her vocal cords alongside a case of acute laryngitis. Medical professionals ordered her to stop performing immediately, begin medication, and commit to at least two full weeks of complete vocal silence to avoid permanent damage. Having just played concerts in Paris, Amsterdam, and Cologne, she confirmed that continuing the schedule was entirely off the table.
The tour was mounted behind her third studio record, Wor$t Girl In America, which arrived in March. Several dates remained on the calendar, with shows in Berlin, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow scheduled for next week, culminating in a headline appearance at the Roundhouse in London on November 5. Ticketholders are set to receive full refunds through their point of purchase. In her statement, the singer explained that she and her team are currently looking into options to reschedule the missed dates for next year, expressing her regret to fans who had already booked travel and prepared special outfits for the shows.
A sudden medical cancellation from a headliner inevitably creates complicated aftershocks for the rest of the tour package. French singer Kalika, who was traveling as the tour's primary opening act, took to X to detail the immediate fallout for her camp. Finding out about the cancellation through the public social media post, Kalika stated that she and her crew were left stranded in Europe. Their live gear remains locked inside the tour bus, leaving them with no immediate way to retrieve their equipment or book transport back home.
Even while acknowledging that Slayyyter must look after her physical health, Kalika did not hide how difficult the situation has been to process on a personal and professional level. She described the run as the biggest opportunity of her career to date, expressing deep sadness over seeing it finish in such an abrupt manner. The predicament brings into focus the vulnerable position support acts often occupy on international runs, where their daily logistics, stage gear, and travel plans are tied directly to the headliner's infrastructure.
For Slayyyter, resting her voice remains the immediate requirement before any return to live performing or studio work can happen. The physical setback comes right in the middle of a remarkably prolific calendar year. In addition to the arrival of Wor$t Girl In America back in March, she recently issued the single I Think He's Got A Girl, which serves as an introduction to her fourth studio album, Wor$t Man In America, slated for release on December 4. Whether she will be medically cleared in time to handle promotional obligations for that upcoming record remains up in the air, but the mandatory rest puts her physical recovery first.
