Stepping up from indoor arenas into open-air sports stadiums is a test of scale that few heavy metal acts ever attempt, let alone sustain. Slipknot have decided to take that leap. The nine-piece outfit from Iowa have formally laid out an extensive 2027 world stadium tour across three continents, launching with an exclusive appearance in the UK before traveling across North America and finishing with an autumn stretch in South America.

The announcement confirms the meaning behind a guerrilla marketing campaign that had fans scouring city streets over the past week. Bright red posters displaying the band's trademark emblem had surfaced on walls throughout the Americas, appearing in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, and Hershey. Similar sightings occurred in Toronto, Mexico City, Bogota, Buenos Aires, and Santiago, with the physical posters directly foreshadowing the routing revealed for the tour.

The entire campaign gets underway on July 3 at London's Wembley Stadium. The concert will stand as Slipknot's only appearance anywhere in the UK or Europe during this tour. To suit the scale of the venue, the band is preparing entirely redesigned stage production, built specifically around a expansive setlist that gathers material from every era of their catalog. Support duties for the Wembley date will be handled by Marilyn Manson, Lorna Shore, and Hatebreed.

Less than two weeks later, the band will bring the production to North America. The continental run begins July 16 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., kicking off a heavy itinerary of iconic sports venues. The tour will visit Citi Field in Queens, Fenway Park in Boston, Soldier Field in Chicago, and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, alongside outdoor dates in Montreal, Toronto, Hershey, Nashville, Houston, Commerce City, Phoenix, and San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Bring Me The Horizon are locked in as direct support across the entire North American leg. They will be accompanied by an eclectic rotating cast of openers, including Acid Bath, Lamb of God, Polyphia, Motionless In White, Lorna Shore, Kublai Khan TX, Loathe, and Vended.

The final phase of the schedule takes the band south for five stadium appearances in September. That run begins on September 4 in Sao Paulo, followed by concerts in Buenos Aires on September 8, Santiago on September 12, Lima on September 14, and Bogota on September 16. Marilyn Manson and Hatebreed will return to the bill for all five South American dates, joined by local opening acts.

For fans hoping to buy tickets early in person, Slipknot organized launch gatherings at both Wembley Stadium and SoFi Stadium, running from 5pm to 9pm local time on a first come, first served basis. These events feature early ticket access and pop-up merchandise shops, with the first 500 ticket buyers at each stadium receiving a limited commemorative event poster. For the wider public, standard ticketing begins with an artist pre-sale on September 29 at 10am local time, followed by general sales opening on October 2 at 10am local time.

The stadium campaign comes as the band navigates a transitional chapter behind the scenes. Earlier this month, Slipknot surprise-released the track Arsenal, their first studio recording in three years. It marks their first recorded material since parting ways with Sid Wilson and their first with drummer Eloy Casagrande, who joined in 2024 to replace Jay Weinberg. Shortly after Casagrande came aboard, the band tracked another unreleased preview cut, Long May You Die. Following mixed reactions to Arsenal, guitarist Jim Root clarified that the song was always planned as an isolated standalone piece rather than an album track. The band is currently working alongside producer Matt Wallace on their next full-length effort, their first since 2022's The End, So Far, with Root noting that they have accumulated a massive surplus of material in the process.
