Saturday Night Live has outlined its musical schedule for the coming weeks, filling three consecutive broadcasts with a mix of familiar faces and returning veterans. Following a brief pause in the show's autumn calendar, Studio 8H will welcome Gracie Abrams, The Strokes, and Phoebe Bridgers across late October and the middle of November.

The run begins on October 31 with a Halloween broadcast fronted by Inde Navarrette, star of Obsession. Taking the musical spot is Gracie Abrams, who is making her second trip to the program as a featured performer. The timing aligns with the release cycle of her third studio record, Daughter From Hell, which came out in July. With the album still circulating among listeners, the Halloween slot puts her newer material directly in front of a national television audience.

The following week shifts focus to veteran rock territory when The Strokes arrive on November 7 for their fifth turn on the broadcast. The New York group has a history with Studio 8H that stretches back more than two decades, beginning with their first booking in 2002 and continuing with visits in 2006, 2011, and 2020. That 2020 date happened to land on Halloween, an evening where they ran through The Adults Are Talking and Bad Decisions from their sixth studio record, The New Abnormal. This November visit arrives on the heels of Reality Awaits, the band's seventh full-length record and their first release of original material in six years, which came out in July. The group tested those newer arrangements in front of live audiences earlier this month during their first concerts in the UK in three years, filling London's O2 Arena with setlists that balanced old staples against the latest recordings.

Handling hosting duties alongside The Strokes on November 7 is comedian Druski. His appearance represents a notable shift in the history of the late-night franchise, as he becomes the very first digital content creator tapped to host the show. Druski took the stage earlier this year to oversee the BET Awards, and the Studio 8H booking marks another significant step in his transition toward mainstream television comedy.

The third announced broadcast, set for November 14, pairs returning host John Mulaney with Phoebe Bridgers. Mulaney will be making his seventh appearance as host, while Bridgers steps onto the stage for her second solo set. Her initial solo turn in February 2021 remains one of the more talked-about television debuts of recent years. Performing Kyoto and I Know The End in support of her 2020 album Punisher, Bridgers capped the performance by slamming her Danelectro guitar into a stage monitor. The incident ignited an instant online debate, though Bridgers later clarified that the instrument maker had granted permission for the destruction in advance and that the speaker itself was an empty prop built specifically for the broadcast. That battered guitar later brought in $101,500 at an auction held to benefit the GLAAD Media Awards.

Bridgers has also made the trip to Studio 8H between her solo outings. In November 2023, she shared the stage with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus under the banner of Boygenius, performing during an episode hosted by Timothée Chalamet. For that appearance, the trio took the floor in matching tailored suits inspired by The Beatles to deliver performances of Not Strong Enough and Satanist.

Her November 14 booking centers on Lost Weekend, her third solo LP, which arrived in August. Ending a six-year break between solo releases following Punisher, the record gave Bridgers her first solo UK Number One album. She is currently playing those tracks across North America on her phone-free Lost Tour, a run scheduled to cross the Atlantic next month for stops in Dublin, Manchester, and London. Between Bridgers presenting her new material on television and The Strokes returning for their fifth appearance, the show is relying heavily on proven live acts to carry its mid-season broadcasts.
