Fayetteville’s Candy Lee is set to release her new album titled “Ozark Mama.” The new release features tracks written about her husband and son.
“Ozark Mama is a 7-song compilation of love songs I’ve written to my husband and son. It’s a really intimate, heartfelt album, so I decided to record it solo, acoustic, live in-studio.” Candy Lee said.
“I thought that kind of raw recording would best capture the vulnerability of the lyrics. I’m used to full-on production with harmonies and multiple instruments backing me up, so it’s quite a change! Though it doesn’t have the bells and whistles, I’m hoping that people identify with the honesty in my voice and the words that I sing. It’s just me, my guitar, my banjo, and ukulele telling a love story.”
The album release party is set for November 15 at ROOTS HQ with Special Guests Dandelion Heart. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Show starts at 7PM.
