Best known as the founder and primary songwriter of the pioneering rock band, Living Colour, Vernon Reid is set to play Bentonville’s Meteor Guitar Gallery April 20.

Ranked No. 66 on Rolling Stone magazine’s 2004 list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, Reid reinvigorated late-80’s hard rock with shots of soul, jazz and hip-hop. Reid’s solos embraced the free-form abstraction of his early days as a jazz player, but they flexed enough muscle to bowl over any Metallica fan. Check out the blistering lead on Living Colour’s 1988 classic “Cult Of Personality” and you’ll see what we mean.

Tickets start at $20 and are available at Stubs.net. Show starts at 7PM.
