Brian returns with VENOM, the seventh track from his debut album PASSIO and the ninth release from the project. The song was inspired by a personal realization after writing WHO NEEDS WHO, when Brian recognized that a relationship was turning him into someone he did not want to become. That idea became the foundation for a song about negative emotions and their effect on the way we experience life. The central idea is captured through the metaphor of having a heart full of venom, making it harder to attract positive things. The memorable Ven-num-num-num-num vocal idea came first and eventually became the song's post-chorus. The accompanying music video expands the PASSIO story, serving as a prequel to Before the Roof Caves In and revealing the origin of the Wolf Girl. With four more songs still to come, VENOM adds another personal chapter to Brian's PASSIO era.
