Drink You Gone

The Red Betty

The Red Betty turns the familiar ritual of drinking away heartbreak into a story of stubbornness and dark humor on Drink You Gone. Released on October 23, the single introduces Bourbon Years & Holler Tears, her forthcoming album exploring love, loss, resilience and the search for belonging through vintage country, Americana, folk and blues. The song follows a narrator who heads to the bar determined to forget a former lover one glass at a time. Yet the jukebox keeps playing and the memories refuse to disappear. Rather than presenting heartbreak as pure tragedy, Drink You Gone finds humor in the gap between wanting to move on and discovering that feelings rarely follow a plan. For The Red Betty, that tension reflects the complicated role alcohol can play in everyday life, offering comfort and companionship while sometimes deepening loneliness and loss. Across the upcoming album, whiskey glasses, mountain roads and familiar country settings frame stories of people confronting broken relationships, difficult choices and the possibility of starting again. The Red Betty is the musical project of Gabriela Glynn, a Brazilian-born singer-songwriter based in New Jersey. A self-taught guitarist, she draws on vintage country, Appalachian folk and blues, bringing a cross-cultural perspective to themes that transcend geography. Her previous album, Icehouse, was released through Spectra Music Group and received coverage from music publications including Nashville Music Guide and The Hollywood Digest. Bourbon Years & Holler Tears expands on these themes through songs about addiction, rejection, family and self-discovery. Tracks such as Mama Nola approach addiction through the perspectives of both the person struggling and the loved ones hoping for their return, while Back to Jersey considers how disappointment can become a route towards rediscovering oneself. With Drink You Gone, The Red Betty introduces a collection that finds tenderness and humor in imperfect people and unresolved endings. Bourbon Years & Holler Tears arrives November 20, 2026, continuing her exploration of the complicated experiences that shape love, identity and belonging.
