Peacemaker Music Festival has released the full lineup for their 2018 event. The music festival, which takes place every summer along the banks of the Arkansas River in Fort Smith, features Grace Potter, Rival Sons, Anderson East, The Cadillac Three, The Funky Meters, Paul Thorn, and Ray Wylie Hubbard.
Peacemaker recently netted a huge sponsorship deal in a recent agreement with the nations third largest cable and communications company, Cox Communications.
From country and Americana, to bluegrass, rock, gospel and blues, the musical talent the festival has attracted since its inception in 2015 has been diverse. Acts such as four-time Grammy winner Jason Isbell, alt-rock troubadours Cold War Kids, party rockers Andy Frasco & the U.N., jam legends Gov’t Mule and Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and outlaw country crooners like Jamey Johnson and Hayes Carll have graced the stage at Harry E. Kelley Riverfront Park. Check out Shindigmusic’s coverage of last year’s festival here.
The Peacemaker Festival is a registered 501(c)(3) organization with an executive committee comprised of Goins, Ex Officio President Jeff Gosey, Vice President Picky Beauchamp, Treasurer Cole Thornton, Secretary Sloane Harper, and Talent Director Bill Neumeier. In previous years, the event’s profits have gone to groups such as Girls Inc., First Tee of Fort Smith, the Children’s Emergency Shelter and Developmental Wings. This year, the Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club will be granted a portion of the festival’s proceeds.
This year’s festival will take place July 27-28 at Harry E. Kelley Riverfront Park. Tickets are on sale now at peacemaker.com.
