EX-FAYETTEVILLE ROCKER, FORMER STATE SENATOR JON WOODS SENTENCED
Fayetteville – Jon Woods, a former Republican Arkansas State Senator from Springdale, was sentenced Wednesday to 18 years in federal prison for fraud and money laundering charges.
Local CBS affiliate KFSM reports that Woods, 41, received the sentence for organizing and leading a bribery scheme in which state funds were directed to non-profit entities in exchange for kickbacks, many of which were funneled through a consultant’s business. Woods appeared before U.S. District Judge Tim Brooks, who handed down the sentence at the John Paul Hammerschmidt Federal Building in downtown Fayetteville on Wednesday.
Woods is also a record producer and musician in northwest Arkansas, who helped form Fayetteville alternative rock outfit A Good Fight.

TAPE DAD ANNOUNCES OKAY CRAWDAD RELEASE
Fayetteville – Fayetteville Cassette label, Tape Dad, have announced their next release will be the new album from Nicky Shoulders and Okay Crawdad. ARKANSAUCE TO HEADLINE 7th ANNUAL PESTO FEST
Fayetteville – Arkansauce is set to headline the 7th annual Pesto Fest at Tri Cycle Farms in Fayetteville on Saturday, September 8. The event is sponsored by Fayetteville Roots Festival and Specialized Real Estate and is the non-profit farm’s primary fundraiser for the year. Also set to appear are local favorites Ashtyn Barbaree and Nick Caffrey, Marshall Mitchell the Singing Cowboy, Warren Dietzel, and Richard Burnett and The Homeschool Dropouts. This years event will be emceed this year by host of 3B Radio on 104.9 The X, Branden Lee.
Tri Cycle Farms strives to improve quality of life through its mission to build community through soil while stewarding food awareness, education and empowerment, and envisions a world with food security, sovereignty and sustainability for all. Proceeds from the raffle, beverage ticket and entrance sales will benefit the 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and its programming.

WELLES RELEASES ANIMATED VIDEO FOR “ROCK N ROLL”
Fayetteville – Welles have released a brand new video for their single “Rock N Roll.” Led by Fayetteville expatriate Jeh-sea Wells (Dead Indian, Cosmic American), Welles released their debut album Red Trees and White Trashes on June 15 via 300 Entertainment. The album was produced by Grammy award winning producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton) and mixed by Grammy award winning mixer Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Adele, Hozier).
