It’s shaping up to be another busy week for live music in our area. Here’s our picks for must-see shows for the upcoming week.

Tuesday, February 6

Yonder Mountain String Band will play George’s Majestic Lounge on Dickson Street in Fayetteville Tuesday. Tickets are $25. This is an 18+ event.

deFrance and Aaron Stephens will play The White Water Tavern in Little Rock Tuesday. Donations are accepted at the door. This is an 18+ event.

Wednesday, February 7

The Ouachita Mountain River Band will play George’s Wednesday. Tickets are $5. This is event is for ages 18 and up.

Thursday, February 8

EDM DJ BUKU will play George’s Thursday. Admission is $15 in advance; $18 the day of the show. This is an 18+ event.

The second round of the semifinals of the Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase will be Thursday at Stickyz in Little Rock. Admission ranges from $5-8. This is an 18+ event.

Pocket Vinyl, Princeaus, and Won Run will play Vino’s Brew Pub in Little Rock Thursday.

The She, Polly’s Pockets, and Elephantom will play Backspace in Fayetteville Friday. Donations are accepted at the door. This is an all-ages show.

Escape Tones will play Core Public House in Fort Smith. Donations are accepted at the door.

Friday, February 9

Cody Johnson will play Fayetteville Town Center Friday. Admission is $25 in advance and $30 the day of the show. This is an 18+ event.

Billed as a “Tribute to the 1990s,” pop-punk cover band Mixtapes will play George’s Friday. Admission is $10. This is an 18+ event.

Alternative rockers Vanimal Kingdom will play Black Apple Crossing in Springdale Friday.

Chicago-based alternative group Mungion will play Stickyz Friday. Little Rock prog-fusion outfit Deep Sequence will open the show. Tickets are $10. This is an 18+ event.

Three-time Austin Music Hall of Fame inductee Jon Dee Graham will play The White Water Tavern Friday. Donations will be accepted at the door. This is an ages 18 and up event.

Blackberry Smoke, with special guests Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real will play Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa Friday. Tickets range from $25-40. This is an all-ages event.

Saturday, February 10

The Wirms, Colin Nelson, and The Inner Party will play Backspace. Donations are accepted at the door. This is an all-ages show.

Goose with special guests Clusterpuck will play George’s Saturday. Tickets are $10. This is an 18 and up event.

Country crooner Jesse Dayton will play Stickyz Saturday. Tickets are $8. This is an 18+ event.

Country music singer-songwriter Brandy Clark will play Rev Room in Little Rock Saturday. Admission ranges from $15-18.

Vagitarrius, Fiscal Spliff, and Jamie Lou and the Hullabaloo will play The White Water Tavern Saturday. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door. This is an 18+ event.

Sunday, February 11

The benefit for Darren Ray, of Uncrowned Kings, Big’uns, Big Bad Bubba, and The Darren Ray Band, will be Sunday at George’s. Billed as “With a Little Help From His Friends: A Benefit for Darren Ray,” the show will feature performances from Earl and Them, Honeyjack, The Nace Brothers, Oreo Blue, 90lb Wrench, Leah & The Mojo Doctors, and others. A silent auction will take place and donations will be accepted at the door. Ray’s family has set up a GoFundMe page for online contributions. All proceeds for the event will go toward helping Ray pay for medical bills, as he continues his battle against cancer.
