Bullet For My Valentine have broken a four year run of studio silence by sharing a new track and laying out the details for their eighth album. The Welsh quartet will release Social Apocalypse on March 19, 2027, through Spinefarm. Coming more than five years after their self-titled 2021 record, the upcoming release arrives after a deliberate pause from the road, with the musicians choosing to step away from live commitments last year to focus entirely on writing.
The title track, which has arrived with an accompanying music video, offers the first taste of a collection shaped by mounting cultural tensions. Frontman Matt Tuck explained that modern social divides and persistent hostility guided the songwriting, observing that fast changes and friction have made optimism increasingly difficult to maintain. As a father, Tuck noted his worries about the kind of world being handed to younger generations, pointing to a culture that frequently leans into hostility instead of finding common ground.
To capture these themes, the group returned to the studio with producer Carl Bown, marking his fifth collaboration with the band. The writing process itself followed an earlier decision to cut short the final run of their joint anniversary tour with Trivium, freeing up room to craft what the band described to supporters as their strongest work to date. Tuck had previously noted an ambition to combine the rapid technical attack of the 2021 self-titled LP with the strong melodic instincts of their 2005 debut, The Poison.
The ten song tracklist also reveals a pair of guest vocal appearances. Chrissy Costanza of Against The Current features on the second track, In The Absence Of You, while Lorna Shore vocalist Will Ramos steps in for I Don’t Trust Tomorrow. The remainder of the sequence includes Here Without You, Acid Rain, Fragile, CVLT, Masquerade, Read Between The Lines, and the closing track, Enough Is Never Enough.
Alongside the music, the group outlined their most expansive headline run across Europe and the UK so far, fitting into wider touring plans that will extend through 2026 and 2027. The live schedule starts in Lisbon on January 21, 2027, at Sagres Campo Pequeno. From Portugal, the band will visit Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. February keeps them moving through Helsinki, Katowice, Munich, Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Brussels.
The route finishes with four arena dates across the UK in late February. The band will visit Glasgow's OVO Hydro on February 23, Birmingham's bp pulse LIVE on February 25, London's The O2 on February 26, and Manchester's AO Arena on February 27. While they previously sold out The O2 alongside Trivium on their 2025 Poisoned Ascendancy tour, this upcoming date places them there as the sole headliners. Pendulum join the entire tour as special guests, with Dark Divine opening each night. Tickets for the UK leg go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday, September 30.
