Gracie Abrams turned her Halloween weekend slot on Saturday Night Live into a coordinated cinematic tribute, pulling directly from Baz Luhrmann's 1996 adaptation of Romeo + Juliet. Returning to Studio 8H for the second time, the singer and songwriter avoided a standard late-night stage setup in favor of back-to-back costumes that paid homage to both halves of the film's title romance, while also giving viewers a look at the current and next stages of her third studio album.

The episode was hosted by Inde Navarrette, known for Obsession, and Abrams used her first musical break to revisit Daughter From Hell, the LP she released in July. She opened with the record's first track and lead single, Hit The Wall, appearing in the white gown and angel wings worn by Claire Danes during the costume ball in the 1996 movie. Rather than facing the studio audience directly at the start, Abrams stood behind a glass aquarium filled with swimming fish, recreating the visual beat where Luhrmann's young lovers spot one another through the water.

When Abrams returned for her second song, she switched roles completely. To deliver the television debut of Here You Come, There You Go, a single that had arrived online only two days earlier, she dressed as Leonardo DiCaprio's Romeo. Her outfit paired the character's floral Hawaiian print shirt with the silver knight armor sleeves from the same party sequence. Taking on both characters across a single broadcast gave the late-night slot a playful Halloween edge, but it also functioned as a practical preview for what is coming next with her recent material.

Here You Come, There You Go is the first taste of an expanded edition of Daughter From Hell, which arrives on November 20 through Interscope. The original LP came out on July 17, created in close collaboration with Aaron Dessner of The National. That working relationship has continued to bear fruit, with five tracks added to the standard tracklist for the deluxe release. Along with the new song featured on the broadcast, the extended release will include four unreleased tracks: Lost In It, Crazy Girl, Love Letter, and Out Of Nowhere.

The appearance offered a stark contrast to Abrams' first trip to the NBC show, which took place in December 2024. During that rookie performance, she leaned on her second album, The Secret Of Us, playing That's So True and I Love You, I'm Sorry. Returning with an entirely new full-length record and fresh additions already in hand shows how rapidly she is moving through projects and expanding her live repertoire.

Her focus will soon shift from television studios to much larger rooms. Abrams is preparing to launch The Look At My Life Tour, an arena run stretching across 2026 and 2027. It begins on December 2 at Ball Arena in Denver before traveling across the Atlantic for a series of multi-night engagements across the UK and Ireland during the spring. Those overseas stops include two shows in Dublin, three in Manchester, two in Glasgow, and a four-night stretch at London's O2 Arena. She has assembled a rotating group of openers for the tour, featuring Rachel Chinouriri, Holly Humberstone, Del Water Gap, Jensen McRae, and The Japanese House.

The live music calendar at Saturday Night Live remains busy over the next couple of weeks. Rock veterans The Strokes will take over the stage on November 7 alongside host Druski, followed on November 14 by Phoebe Bridgers, who will perform on an episode hosted by John Mulaney.
