The two artists reconnect on “So Good,” a new collaboration released September 11 alongside the album. It is the latest chapter in a relationship that goes back more than a decade, long before both artists reached the level of mainstream recognition they have today.
Their musical connection began in 2010, when Aiko appeared on Lamar's mixtape Overly Dedicated. Three years later, Lamar contributed a verse to “Stay Ready (What a Life)” from Aiko's Sail Out EP. Their paths have crossed since then, but a direct collaboration between the two has been relatively rare.
