Quavo has finally put a date on his next solo album. Qrömelife will arrive October 2 through Quality Control and Motown, with Pharrell Williams serving as executive producer. The announcement comes with “Backwards,” a new collaboration with T.I. and the latest preview of the project.
The album has been building quietly for months. Quavo has shared footage of himself working with Pharrell, including clips filmed while the two were recording on a yacht, creating plenty of speculation around what the finished project would sound like. Now the long-teased record has an official release date.
“Backwards” gives listeners another piece of the puzzle. The appearance from T.I. also connects the new material to Atlanta's rap history, bringing together two artists who have spent years operating at the center of the city's hip-hop culture.
For Quavo, Qrömelife will be another step in a solo career that began to take shape more seriously following the end of Migos' original run. His previous solo album, Rocket Power, was released in 2023 and was closely connected to the death of his nephew and longtime collaborator Takeoff.

Migos changed the sound of mainstream rap during the 2010s, helping popularize the triplet-heavy flow and releasing a run of influential projects. Quavo's solo career has allowed him to explore a different side of that musical identity, even as his work remains connected to the sound that established Migos.
The Pharrell collaboration could push that exploration further. Pharrell has worked across hip-hop, R&B and pop for decades, and his production style has often given artists room to move outside their usual formulas.
